Summer Stock Horse Series
What is the Summer Stock Horse Series?
The Summer Stock Horse Series (SSHS) is a 3 show series for all of the stock horse breeds in
Riata to compete against one another. The SSHS is open to purebred Quarter Horses, Paints,
and Appaloosas, as well as crossbreeds currently accepted by those registrations (Appendix, etc).
Show Information
- Show sanctioned by the following associations: Riata Appaloosa Association, Riata Paint Horse Association Riata: Stock Halter Registry and Riata Quarter Horse Association
- Show dates: June 13, 2008 July 13, 2008 and August 13, 2008
- Show Location: Sand Creek Stables in Williamston, North Carolina
Entry Information
- Entries will close at midnight EDT on June/July/August 11, 2008
- All entries sent to sandcreek@riata-online.net with the subject line ENTRIES: Summer Stock Horse Series
- Entries for the straight halter division *must* be registered with the Riata: Stock Halter Registry and in the following format or else you will not get any RSHR points: RSHR Registration # Horse Name owned by owner from barn
- Entries for all other divisions will be sent in the following format: Copy the class list and delete classes that you are not entering. Under the classes that you are entering, use the following format: Horse Name (Breed) owned by owner name from barn initials
- Example: SW Chocolate Bar (Quarter Horse) owned by Amanda Ward from SCS
- If you board at a barn, only list the barn initials for your location. Example: SW Chocolate Bar owned by Amanda Ward from FF
- Do not enter horses unrealistically! There is no such thing as a reining, barrel racing, hunter under saddle horse
- Entries that are either in the incorrect format or have unrealistic entries will be returned and if not corrected after the first try, deleted
- Entry fees are as follows: $50 for horse per class $100 Administration Fee per e-mail
- Entries without a check will be deleted
- Junior events are for horses aged 4 to 7 years old. Senior events are for horses who are 8 years old and older
- Horses under 4 years of age are only eligible to compete in the halter and futurity divisions
- Horses competing in the straight halter division may only compete in that division and RSHR age restrictions apply
